For anyone interested in the development of entertainment from the legitimate theater to film entertainment from the silent age to the big downtown combination film and stage theaters and through the passing of the business center and neighborhood theaters in a city like Indianapolis this is a must read. Of particular interest is that vaudeville and burlesque was still active in Indianaoplis when it had passed on in many other cities of similar or larger size. It is also most interesting of the naming of the many stage actors and productions that appeared in the city's theaters.
